Turkish Alcoholic Beverage and Wine Industry,hereafter called Taşel was established in Nicosia in compliance with the TRNC Act.113 Company Law as a partnership with Tekel General Directorate in 1961,however,because of the events in Cyprus ,it could only start production after the 1974 Peace Operation.

The basic foundation aim of the company is to produce the necessary alcohol and alcoholic beverage,taking into consideration the puplic health at appropriate quality and amount and to contribute to the economy and to provide employment. The paid capital of our company is 7,570,000 TL total,divided to 42,000 shares at 180 TL each.
The capital of the company was increased to 491,060,000,000 TL divided to 49,106 shares at 10,000,000 each ,at the 29 th General Assembly meting held on 23 rd May 2003.
Hundered Percent of the shares of the Alcoholic Beverage Industry and Trade Ltd. attach to Tekel General Directorate ,which has been due to privatization for a long time,with the decision of the Privatization Supreme Council dated 22.12.2003 and ref no.2003/85 have been totally transferred and brought as of 27.7.2004 by Taşel ( Turkish Alcoholic Beverage and Wine Ltd.) which is the owner of % 51 of the shares of Alcoholic Beverage Industry and Trade Ltd formed by Nurol -Limak -Özaltın-Tütsap joint venture.

As a result of privatization ,% 51 of the shares which belong to the largest share owner Tekel General Directorate were tranferred to Mey Beverage Industry and Trade Ltd.:and with this new formation Alcoholic Beverage Industry and Trade Ltd has become the main share holder of our Company with %51 of the shares.

The raw material sent from Alcoholic Beverage Industry and Trade Ltd. is treated and bottled in our installations in Fagamusta.

The domestic market of our company is about 300,000 liters per year.

Because of the modern technology we use,the local production is made by using high quality installation compatible with TSE standarts and meets consumer demands.

Alcoholic Beverage Industry and Trade Ltd % 31.9,TRNC Development Fund %10 , Şişe Cam Ltd %5 ,İş Bank % 0.07 Eti Enterprises and the rest belong to private and legal persons.
